The Miami Dolphins have already played in Week 3 of the NFL season, but that doesn’t mean fans of the team don’t have anything to root for in Week 3. The Dolphins did their job in securing a win — now let’s shift our focus to what else can go right for Miami in Week 3.
Here’s three things Dolphins fans can hope to see throughout the rest of the NFL Week 3 schedule:

A Houston Texans loss
We don’t need to really explain this one, do we? The Texans are 0-2 and the Miami Dolphins own Houston’s first and second round draft picks in the 2021 NFL Draft thanks to the Laremy Tunsil deal. Fans should root for Houston to lose every game they play this season. But, alas, there is a black cloud over rooting for a Texans’ loss this weekend — it means we must root for former Dolphins safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to help get the job done.

A Seattle Seahawks win
Nothing grounds a good team quite like a loss — so Seattle dropping today’s contests against the Dallas Cowboys would hurt the cause for Miami. If the Dolphins want to knock off Seattle in Week 4, their best chance is to catch a Seattle team that is undefeated and feeling very good about themselves after shutting down the Dallas Cowboys the week prior. So needless to say, Miami is big fans of Seattle until the clock strikes zeroes today. The Dolphins will have the advantage of home field in Week 4, but getting added leverage psychologically could be the needed boost.

Successful east-coast business trips
The Los Angeles Rams head east to face the Buffalo Bills. The Las Vegas Raiders also come out to the east side of the country to face the New England Patriots. The Dolphins, courtesy of losses to both AFC East teams to start the season, entered Week 3 against Jacksonville trailing the Bills by 2.5 games in the division (thanks to a Bills’ head-to-head tiebreaker) and the Patriots by 1.5 games. The Dolphins did their part in Week 3 with a win, but the rest of the division adding some losses sure would help keep Miami angled to climb back into the mix. The Dolphins have a tough one in Week 4 via Seattle, so they’ll need all the help from their “friends” in the AFC East as they can get.
