Thomas Jefferson boys finish 7th at Mercy/Warrior Classic

Feb. 2—Thomas Jefferson dropped its matchup with Providence Christian Academy on Thursday night by a score of 61-22.

The Cavaliers fell to 3-18 with the loss and will look to rebound at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when they host the Cougars of College Heights (12-8).

The loss means TJ finished 0-2 in the Mercy/Warrior Classic and will finish in seventh place.

The leading scorer in the game was Justice Chesser of Providence with 24 points. TJ was led by three players with 6 points in Jack Twiss, Kohl Thurman and Ethan Renger.

Providence plays Sarcoxie at 6:30 p.m. Friday for fifth place.
