With the PGA Championship just two weeks away, several of the game's biggest names will tee it up this week on another major championship venue.

Quail Hollow Club plays host to the Wells Fargo Championship, four years after the Charlotte layout was the site of the 2017 PGA Championship. That event was won by Justin Thomas, and now Thomas returns to North Carolina as the world No. 2 and betting favorite after a wild week at the Valspar Championship.

Thomas was the best ball-striker in the field at Innisbrook, setting the pace in a number of statistical categories, but his putting was abysmal. He ended the week ranked 67th in putting out of 69 players who made the cut, a gap that was enough to turn a possible title contention into a T-13 finish. But oddsmakers are trusting his tee-to-green game as Thomas opens the week as a +1000 favorite at PointsBet Sportsbook ahead of Jon Rahm.

But there's plenty of star power in the field this week in Charlotte. Two-time champ Rory McIlroy will celebrate his 32nd birthday Tuesday and is listed at +1600 as he looks to end a recent skid, sandwiched between American stars Bryson DeChambeau and Xander Schauffele. Max Homa returns to Quail Hollow as the defending champ, two years after earning his first Tour victory at this event and on the heels of a strong T-6 showing in Tampa last week.

Here's a look at some of the notable opening odds for this week's event, with many big names making their final start before the second major of the year at Kiawah:
