Comedian Rodney Carrington will perform Saturday at Canton Palace Theatre.

Carrington's stop will be part of the "Let Me In!" tour.

The actor starred in his own TV sitcom, “Rodney," which ran for two seasons on ABC, and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film, “Beer for My Horses." He also hosted the "American Country New Year's Eve Live" show on FOX.

Carrington has recorded 11 comedy albums, and the singer released the single, “Let Me In" last year.

Doors open one hour before the 7 p.m. show, which is one hour and 45 minutes.

Tickets are $49.50 and $69.50, and $199.50 for VIP tickets, which includes the best available seats, a VIP tour laminate and a post show meet-and-greet photo opportunity with Carrington.

Tickets are available online at https://cantonpalacetheatre.org/. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door starting at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The show is for mature audiences ages 14 and older, according to a news release from the Palace Theatre.

Walsh University is presenting an exhibition of wearable art accessories by Judi Krew through March 6.

"Hoard Couture: Wearable Art" will be on display at the Birk Center for the Arts with free viewings from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Birk Center for the Arts is on the west side of campus next to the Gaetano M. Cecchini Family Health and Wellness Complex. Walsh University is at 220 E. Maple St. in North Canton.

A gallery talk is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Feb. 24 in the Atrium Gallery. Krew, of Jackson Township, will be available to meet with guests and talk about her work and process for making art.

The free event is open to the public, and guests are asked to wear face coverings due to COVID-19.

The series of accent pieces includes fascinators, hats and handbags made from unconventional materials. They are all wearable and will be paired with upcoming runway garments.

“This series explored my need to hold onto ‘things’ as a way to preserve memories,” Krew said in a news release. “My home is neat and clean, and my ‘things’ are organized in bins, boxes and containers – but for what purpose? That question inspired the idea to create some type of art piece that could allow me to see what I am holding on to and ask, why?”

"King Richard," a movie starring Will Smith, will be shown Thursday, Friday and Sunday at the Canton Palace Theatre.

Part of the theater's Award Nominated Film Series, the movie tells the story of how Venus and Serena Williams became tennis stars with the coaching of their father, Richard Williams.

Doors open an hour before showtimes of 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Run time is two hours and 24 minutes. The film is rated PG-13.

Admission is $7 per person. Seating is general admission. Tickets can be purchased in advance at https://cantonpalacetheatre.org/ or at the door starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Concessions can be preordered through the website, where updated COVID-19 policies are also posted.

The historic theater is at 605 Market Ave. N in downtown Canton.

Alternative rock artist Timmy the Boy will perform Saturday night at Buzzbin in downtown Canton.

Special guests will be Harborer, Vince Nerone and local hip hop and punk music artist Just Carter, who released the songs, "Grow Up," "Mr. Krabs" and "Ripped Jeans and Tattoos" in 2021. The Alliance-based Timmy the Boy released the singles, "The Moment" and "Not Enough" last year.

Buzzbin is at 339 Cleveland Ave. NW.

Doors open at 8 p.m. and music begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $5 each at the door.

The show is open to ages 21 and older.

Dinner and the show are included in the $38 ticket price per person. A cash bar is available.

"The Fabulous '50s Tribute Show" features a live band and dance floor.

Tribute music will include songs by Elvis, Connie Francis, The Big Bopper, Frankie Avalon, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Patti Page, Brenda Lee, The Everly Brothers and others.
