New text messages resurface Dunbar's alleged armed robbery case originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
According to the New York Daily News' Pat Leonard, text messages released by the Broward County State Attorney’s Office contradict the conclusion that there was insufficient evidence to prosecute Dunbar and former Giants cornerback Deandre Baker in an alleged armed robbery.
The text messages were obtained via search warrant.
Roughly two hours after the alleged robbery, a witness named Dominic Johnson sent a text message indicating Baker of committed robbery with Dunbar encouraging Baker.
When asked if Dunbar was involved, Johnson said wrote, “[Baker] and Dunbar was directing it.”
As of now, it is unclear whether this will change anything about Dunbar's case after he was cleared and removed from the commissioner's exempt list before the start of training camp.
