Texas officially kicks off the 2022 college football game on Saturday evening against Louisiana-Monroe.
Fortunately for the Longhorns, it appears transfer wide receiver Agiye Hall is nearing the end of his suspension. On August 12, Steve Sarkisian released a statement that Hall would be suspended indefinitely for criminal mischief.
Since then, Sarkisian repeatedly noted that “When the time is right, we’ll have him back on our team.” Many were unsure if he would return before conference play, but OrangeBloods’ Anwar Richardson reported on Friday that Hall is expected to be active for the season opener.
It’s unclear how much Sarkisian will choose to play Hall against Louisiana-Monroe and/or if he will sit a portion of the game, but it’s certainly positive news for Texas. Hall is an exceptional talent that will be in the mix for significant playing time moving forward.
Texas receiver Agiye Hall will be active for the season opener against ULM, according to my sources. Hall has worked hard behind the scenes since his suspension. Don’t know how much he’ll play on Saturday but it’s a fresh start for Hall.
