Texas A&M stays put at No. 23 in the latest 2023 AP Top 25 Poll update after Week 1

After recording a jump in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M held firm in the latest AP Top 25 Poll update following Week 1 of action.

Georgia and Michigan held onto the top two spots in the latest rankings, while Alabama jumped to No. 3 after taking care of business in Week 1. As for the rest of the top five, there was a shake-up with Florida State catapulting four spots to No. 4. Ohio State dropped two spots to No. 5, while LSU dropped nine spots to No. 14 following their 45-24 loss to the Seminoles.

Dabo Swinney and Clemson saw the biggest drop, falling 16 spots to No. 25 after a lethargic 28-7 loss to unranked Duke on Monday night.

After Bobby Petrino’s offense was on display in Texas A&M’s 52-10 rout of New Mexico last weekend, the Aggies stayed at No. 23 in the latest AP Poll update. They’ll head to South Beach to face Miami this weekend, who received four votes in the AP Poll.
