After years of inconsistent quarterback play, Steve Sarkisian is looking to change Texas’ misfortune under center.

He already landed former five-star and perfectly rated quarterback Quinn Ewers as a transfer, and now seems to be in a prime position to land five-star Arch Manning.

After recent reports that Alabama may have been taken out of consideration for Manning due to four-star quarterback Eli Holstein receiving crystal ball predictions to the Crimson Tide, the Longhorns saw their probability to land Manning increase via On3’s prediction machine.

Texas’ chances of landing him increase by over 6%, and his recruitment has seemingly turned into a two-horse race between Texas and Georgia.

If Texas is able to secure Manning, not only would they have a quarterback room with two No. 1 overall recruits on campus at the same time, it would also boost the program’s 2023 recruiting class as many top prospects would likely follow him to Austin.

Texas will have to improve the on-field product in order to help better their chances, but we all know that Manning is believed to have a great relationship with Steve Sarkisian which could ultimately be the deciding factor.
