Texans TE Ryan Griffin arrested on vandalism, public intoxication charges

Houston Texans TE Ryan Griffin was detained late Friday night in Nashville, Tennessee, on charges of vandalism and public intoxication, according to Kelli L. Krebs of The Tennessean.

Police say the 29-year-old punched a front window of Hotel Indigo, located in the city’s downtown neighborhood.

Law enforcement responded to complaints of disorderly conduct at 11:40 p.m., prompting hotel security to follow the New Hampshire native to the corner of Union Street and 2nd Avenue North following his destruction.

Griffin, who allegedly appeared intoxicated and unable to maintain his balance, was arrested and released on a $1,750 bond Saturday around 7 a.m. ESPN reports his court date is scheduled for May 31.

Shortly before Griffin’s incident, the Texas selected another TE, San Diego State's Kahale Warring, with the 86th pick in the NFL draft.
