After Andy Murray played his first singles match since undergoing hip resurfacing surgery in January, The Tennis Podcast team convened to discuss how he looked, his long-term prospects, and his decision not to play singles at the US Open. 

Murray lost 6-4, 6-4 to Richard Gasquet in Cincinnati, but according to David Law (BBC 5 Live, BT Sport) and Matt Roberts, there were plenty of positive signs, particularly when you consider that, six months ago, he couldn't even tie his shoelaces without experiencing pain.
