Tennessee Titans’ Week 7 Player of the Game: A.J. Brown

The Tennessee Titans did not reign victorious in the battle of the final two undefeated teams in the AFC after falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 27-24, at Nissan Stadium on Sunday

There were a host of Titans who made some key plays in Tennessee’s comeback attempt, but nobody’s performance was more important to keeping the Titans in this one than wide receiver A.J. Brown’s.

He finished the contest with six receptions for 153 yards and one touchdown, but his 73-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter breathed some life into a Titans team that looked dead after a brutal first half.

Brown caught a pass over the middle from Ryan Tannehill and like he did throughout his rookie campaign, the second-year pro gained serious yards after the catch to find pay dirt.

It was the start of the Titans’ comeback that fell just short when Stephen Gostkowski missed a 45-yard field goal near the end of regulation that would have sent the game into overtime.

Brown has been sensational since returning from injury. In his last three games, the Ole Miss product has 24 catches for 293 yards and four touchdowns.

Brown and the Titans will hit the road to face the Cincinnati Bengals next at noon CT.
