Tennessee Titans starting cornerback Jackrabbit Jenkins received negative X-rays on his ankle, according to a report Monday from NFL Network.
Jenkins has a foot and ankle sprain that will likely cause him to miss "some time" but injured reserve "may not be necessary" because the Titans have their bye this week, per the report.
Jenkins suffered the injury on a run play early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots and limped off the field.
Jenkins has started in all 11 of his appearances with the Titans this season. He has 46 tackles, four passes defensed and a forced fumble on the year.
The 33-year-old Jenkins signed a two-year deal worth $15 million, including $7.5 million guaranteed, with Tennessee in the offseason.
