The Tennessee Titans placed backup quarterback Logan Woodside on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Wednesday.

Woodside is the second Titans player to be placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list since Monday, joining linebacker/special teamer Joe Jones.

A player can land on the Reserve/COVID-19 list for a positive test regardless of vaccination status or as a close contact with an infected person or persons as an unvaccinated individual.

Woodside's vaccination status is unclear. If he's vaccinated, he can return to the active roster with two negative tests in a 48-hour span, which would give him a chance to return to backup starter Ryan Tannehill on Sunday, when the Titans (8-3) play the New England Patriots (7-4) at Gillette Stadium (noon CT, CBS).

If Woodside tested positive and is unvaccinated, he must quarantine for a minimum of 10 days.

Practice-squad quarterback Kevin Hogan, a 2016 fifth-round pick out of Stanford who appeared in eight games with the Browns (2016-17), is currently slated to be the Titans' backup quarterback for Week 12.
