Tennessee splits doubleheader, wins series at South Carolina

No. 19 Tennessee (38-18, 16-14 SEC) concluded its 2023 regular-season by splitting a doubleheader against No. 9 South Carolina Saturday at Founders Park in Columbia, South Carolina.

The Gamecocks won game No. 1, 6-1, before the Vols were victorious in the series finale, 12-1. Tennessee won the series at South Carolina, 2-1.

Tennessee will now play in the Southeastern Conference Tournament.

The Vols are a No. 7 seed and will play No. 10 Texas A&M on Tuesday at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama.

First pitch between Tennessee and the Aggies will take place following the tournament’s first game of No. 6 South Carolina versus No. 11 Georgia (10:30 a.m. EDT, SEC Network).
