Tennessee secures top-four seed in SEC Tournament

No. 4 Tennessee (42-14, 20-10 SEC) has secured a top-four seed and a first round BYE in the 2021 Southeastern Conference Tournament.

The SEC Tournament will take place May 25-30 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama.

The Vols’ top-four seed in the SEC Tournament is the program’s first since 2005. The Vols were a No. 3 seed in the 2005 SEC Tournament.

Tennessee secured its top-four seed by defeating South Carolina, 5-4, Saturday in the regular season finale.

The Vols have won the SEC Tournament three times in program history (1993, 1994, 1995).

The SEC Tournament has been played at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium annually since 1998 and also during the 1990 and 1996 seasons.
