Tennessee hosts Pittsburgh Saturday in the Johnny Majors Classic.

Saturday’s contest marks the third meeting between the two schools all-time.

Pittsburgh leads Tennessee, 2-0, in the all-time series that dates back to 1980. The two previous games were played at Neyland Stadium.

In 1980, the Panthers defeated Tennessee 30-6. Jackie Sherrill served as Pittsburgh’s head coach.

In 1983, Pittsburgh defeated the Vols, 13-3, under head coach Foge Fazio.

Johnny Majors served as the Vols’ head coach in both meetings.

Kickoff for Saturday’s game is slated for noon EDT and will be televised by ESPN.
