Tenino suffers second consecutive setback

Mar. 21—BOX SCORE

At Tenino

RAVENS 9, BEAVERS 0

Raymond-South Bend 4 5 — 9

Tenino 0 0 — 0

Two nights after losing their first Evergreen League boys soccer match, the Beavers fell to Raymond-South Bend by a 9-0 verdict on Wednesday night at home.

They lost to Elma on Monday, but this match had a much different feeling for head coach Trevor Fetbrandt.

"There were things that we were able to do in this game that was different than the 0-9 loss in the last game," Fetbrandt said. "So we had much better spirits after this one. We played hard for the entire 80 minutes."

R-SB broke the match open with four goals in the opening half and five more in the final 40 minutes. Tenino (1-3, 1-2 Evergreen) goalkeeper David Ruedy had a handful of saves Fetbrandt called "fantastic" to keep the final score from getting worse.

"They want to learn, they want to figure out what they gotta do to become competitive, and they're working at it," Fetbrandt said.
