Just when the Cincinnati Bengals were getting on a roll, injuries have popped up again.
On Friday, Zac Taylor ruled out Higgins (hamstring) for the game against the Houston Texans. When asked about Chase, all the head coach would say is "We'll see."
Chase participated in practice for a second day in a row on Friday. He fell hard in last week's game and is dealing with a back injury. An MRI revealed a bruise and the team will give him as much time as possible to be ready.
"In my head, I'm playing, you know what I'm saying?" Chase said after Thursday's practice. "So until further notice and anything else, then we'll see."
Higgins had a slow start to the season, in part because of a rib injury. He has been coming on lately, like the Bengals as a whole, but the hamstring could set him back.
The Texans have their own injury issues, with 15 players either limited or not taking part in Thursday's practice, according to the team's injury report.
The Bengals have rallied after a slow start, which was due in part to Burrow's calf injury, to get to 5-3. Winning on Sunday won't be so easy down on of their top receivers.
