TE Zach Ertz continues tradition of helping needy kids at Boys & Girls Club

It has not taken long for tight end Zach Ertz to get involved in the community of his new team. The Arizona Cardinals acquired Ertz via trade from the Philadelphia Eagles last month. His wife, professional soccer player Julie Ertz, is from Arizona.

They teamed up to maintain a tradition that former Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald participated in — holiday shopping for kids from the Boys & Girls Club.

Fitzgerald participated in shopping sprees in the past. In 2019, it happened around the holiday season.

Kids from a local Boys & Girls Club were given $200 gift cards to DICK’S to do some holiday shopping.

This year, it was Zach and Julie Ertz.

The couple acted as the kids’ personal shopping consultants, assisting the kids in picking out and purchasing gifts including apparel, sneakers, and sports gear to celebrate the holiday season.

Ertz is yet another example of the type of quality player and person who gives back to the local community the team likes to have in its organization.
