Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker avoided serious injury to his left elbow and should make his second straight start Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

Decker went through the open portion of practice Friday with what appeared to be a large sleeve on his elbow.

He missed the first eight games of the season with a fractured left index finger, played every snap in last week's tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a full participant in practice Wednesday before sitting out Thursday.

“I think he’s good," Lions coach Dan Campbell said. "I think it was not as bad as we thought it could be, so I think this is — I think we’re fine, I think he’s going to be good to go and look he’s tough, man. So he’s going to handle this well. Got it checked out and should be good."

The Lions signed veteran Dan Skipper to their practice squad as insurance for their offensive line.

Swing tackle Matt Nelson also was limited in practice this week with an ankle injury.

Defensive end Trey Flowers (knee) and running back Jermar Jefferson (knee/ankle) did not practice Friday and are doubtful to play Sunday.
