Swifties had a lot to say after seeing the recent partnership between Swift’s new BFF and SKIMS, Kim Kardashian’s clothing empire.
In a Nov. 9 Instagram post, the mother of two is seen in a series of images posing with her husband, Chief’s starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and their children looking festive in a SKIMS holiday ad.
The NFL couple captioned the portraits, which were stamped as a paid partnership with SKIMS, “The holidays start with @skims.”
Well, let’s just say many Taylor Swift fans don’t agree with that sentiment. A slew of Swifties rushed to the page to gripe about the partnership, considering the complicated relationship between the “Bad Blood” singer and the reality star turned entrepreneur.
One Swift fan commented, “oh… the partnership is questionable.” Another user responded, agreeing: “She just got herself kicked out of the group chat.”
A third obviously livid Swift fan blatantly responded, “You can’t be friends with Taylor and support SKIMS.”
Brittany however, is seemingly excited about the collaboration, saying her family “had the best time on set.”
‘We loved shooting for SKIMS as a family and had the best time on set,” Brittany Mahomes said in the campaign’s press release. “The matching sets and prints are so adorable and cozy. Skims will be a staple for our entire family for the holidays and beyond.”
Just this week, Swift and Mahomes were spotted enjoying a girls’ night out together in New York City. The duo’s developing close friendship began after the superstar singer started dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Neither Swift nor Mahomes has commented on the backlash.
