Sweetgreen reveals how to make its popular green goddess ranch dressing: 'My favorite!'
Sweetgreen has revealed the recipe for its popular green goddess ranch dressing, and it’s so easy to make!
Sweetgreen (@sweetgreen) is a popular restaurant chain that serves a variety of salads and warm bowls. While many restaurant chains keep their recipes secret, Sweetgreen has begun sharing the recipes for popular dishes on TikTok, including the recipe for one of its most popular dressings — green goddess ranch.

The Sweetgreen TikTok account is frequently bombarded with comments requesting recipes for its different dressings and salad dishes. After many requests, Sweetgreen has finally revealed how, exactly, they make the green goddess ranch that comes on the super green goddess and blackened catfish bowls (as well as any salad you request).

The salad chain shared the recipe after one particularly passionate green goddess fan (@sammiismithh) wrote, “Can you please do the green goddess ranch? I beg!”
Sweetgreen responded with a video captioned, “@sammiismithh, This one’s for you.”
In the video, a Sweetgreen rep reveals the surprisingly simple step-by-step process for making its green goddess ranch dressing. They start by combining salt, pepper, chopped red onions and whole cloves of garlic in a mixing bowl. Then they add their fresh herbs, tossing fresh basil leaves, cilantro, parsley and dill into the same bowl.
Next, they add their liquids, pouring lemon juice, white wine vinegar and Sweetgreen hot sauce into the mixing bowl with the rest of the ingredients. And, finally, they add yogurt and mayonnaise, and blend all of the contents of the mixing bowl together until smooth. Once all the ingredients are blended together, the dressing is complete and ready to eat!
‘Take my money’
Many TikTokers were excited to make their own green goddess ranch, while others were disappointed by how many ingredients it required.
“My favorite!” one enthusiastic TikToker responded.
“Oh my god, thank you!” another viewer wrote.
“Me at the start of the video: ‘Oh my god, I can’t wait to save money and make this.’ Me at the end of the video: ‘Lol, too much work. Take my money,’” joked another TikToker.
Other viewers turned to the comments to request more recipe videos.
“Can you do the cilantro lime dressing please?” begged one viewer.
“Hot sauce next, please!” another viewer requested.
To which Sweetgreen responded, “We can’t spill all of our secrets.”
While Sweetgreen may not be sharing its secret hot sauce recipe anytime soon, there are plenty of other recipes on its TikTok page. Fans of Sweetgreen’s salads and dressings can turn to TikTok to find recipes for the restaurant’s pesto vinaigrette, elote pasta salad and more!
