Sutter atop PVL, ranked No. 31 in Sac-Joaquin Section poll: Huskies to host Colfax Friday
Sep. 19—The Sutter Union High football team's push to the top of the Pioneer Valley League last week with its shutout at Marysville earned the Huskies a jump of two spots in this week's MaxPreps computerized Sac-Joaquin Section weekly poll released each Monday through the fall.
Sutter (4-1) sits No. 31 — five spots below the top Division VI team, Sonora. Sutter remained in the top-3 ahead of Hughson in the D-VI poll, according to a post from Sac-MaxPreps via 'X', formerly known as Twitter.
MaxPreps does not poll coaches, sportswriters or fans. Nor does its staff make any judgments on the merits of any individual team. Prior season history, school size and comments on message boards are not considered in the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, MaxPreps said in a statement.
