After a weekend of stormy weather in the Victor Valley, the forecast looks to be cold and mostly dry.

However, there is a possibility of rain later in the week.

On Sunday afternoon, the storm had dropped nearly 4 inches of snow in the San Bernardino Mountains, with more expected on Monday.

On Monday, snow levels were expected near 3,500 to 4,000 feet. Chain control has been issued for all vehicles in the San Bernardino Mountain communities, according to Caltrans officials.

Rainfall totals in San Bernardino Mountains ranged from about 2.5 to about 5 inches.

The storm also brought less than a quarter-inch of rain to the Victor Valley, the National Weather Service officials said.

Isolated thunderstorms are expected through Monday night, followed by a period of cold and dry weather from Tuesday through Thursday, NWS reported. Through Thursday, gusty winds with high temperatures in the low 50s and high 40s, with lows in the 20s and 30s, are expected in places like Apple Valley, Hesperia and Victorville.

Another storm system is expected to arrive Friday, with colder conditions and the potential for significant rain and mountain snow, NWS stated.

Water rescue

On Sunday morning, a woman was rescued from the Cucamonga Wash in Ontario as the storm continued across Southern California.

The Ontario Fire Department's Urban Search and Rescue team responded to the incident at around 7 a.m. after a woman was trapped by the rushing water.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, according to authorities.
