What Kerr's most excited about coaching Team USA Olympic team originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Steve Kerr is an assistant coach to Gregg Popovich on the USA Basketball squad that will be participating in next month's Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

The eight-time NBA champion issued a statement Monday morning as he looks forward to the event.

"I'm really excited to be on the Olympic coaching staff," Kerr said. "It's gonna be great to work with Pop. And what I'm most excited about is coaching Draymond [Green] and seeing him play on the international stage, coaching Kevin Durant again and just an incredible roster of players.

"An amazing opportunity, really excited about it and it's gonna be a lot of fun."

Training camp in Las Vegas opens later this week, and the Opening Ceremony for the Olympics will be held July 23.
