Clemson football's June recruiting raid of Georgia high school prospects continued Wednesday with another commitment from a four-star defensive player.

Defensive lineman Stephiylan Green committed to the Tigers less than 24 hours after a commitment from four-star Georgia defensive lineman AJ Hoffler. Green, a 6-foot-4, 267-pound prospect from Rome High School is ranked as the No. 212 overall recruit and 31st at his position in the 247Sports Composite for the 2023 class.

He chose the Tigers over finalists Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee and Mississippi. He was part of several prospects who officially visited Clemson the weekend of June 3 before receiving an offer June 7.

Green is Clemson's 14th commit for the current cycle, 11th this month and seventh from Georgia, all on the defensive side and all ranked within the top 38 players in the state. Ranked at No. 19 overall in Georgia, the only Clemson commits from that state ranked higher are defensive lineman Vic Burley (second) and linebacker Jamal Anderson (17th).

The Tigers are fourth in the team rankings behind only No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Penn State. One day after missing out on Hoffler (who in the fall had referred to the Buckeyes as his "dream offer"), Ohio State secured a commitment Wednesday from four-star North Carolina wide receiver Noah Rogers, a player for whom Clemson was heavily in the mix.
