Stephen A: Dan Snyder would treat Dak better than Jerry Jones originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

On Thursday's edition of First Take on ESPN, the perfect formula for Internet madness came together: Stephen A. Smith argued that the Washington Football Team should try to pry Dak Prescott away from the Dallas Cowboys and let Daniel Snyder take care of Prescott better than Jerry Jones.

The only thing missing was a runoff debate on whether LeBron could've thrived in the '90s the way he's doing currently.

Now, as absurd as all of that sounds, it actually... wasn't... that ridiculous of a case?

Yeah, it wasn't that ridiculous!

The first part of Smith's argument revolved around how Prescott is the type of person who would surely appreciate the way the Burgundy and Gold (he referenced Snyder specifically here) have gone about "addressing issues of diversity."

"I wouldn't mind seeing Dak in the nation's capital," he said. "Not just because he's a damn good football player — he's already performed in the NFC East — but he's also a high-character guy... I look at what the Washington Football Team is doing, from [president] Jason Wright being there to Martin Mayhew being the new GM to Julie Donaldson in communications."

That was far from his only reason as to why Prescott would thrive more with the Cowboys' longtime rival, though.

The pundit also pointed out how Washington just made the playoffs and appears to be on the way up, thanks to a stellar defense and Ron Rivera, who heads up a well-regarded coaching staff.

Then came the hammer of all hammers.

To Smith, there is "one thing Dak Prescott is craving," and that is to be appreciated like the cornerstone that he has worked to become. And that's where Snyder would truly come through.

"If you can sit up there and get a quarterback that's the fixture and the face of your franchise," Smith said, "we know that Daniel Snyder would treat him as such. He's the anti-Jerry in that regard, because remember, he treated Robert Griffin III as the face of the franchise even before he deserved it. He was willing to give the same kind of treatment to Dwayne Haskins.

(Note: This dude just dropped RG3 and Haskins into this segment as well! Unbelievable!!!)

"Jerry Jones says all the right things, but when it comes time to inking a contract deal between him and Stephen Jones, it just seems [like] something they're allergic to doing," Smith added.

To him, Dallas had no problem committing to others such as Ezekiel Elliott and Jaylon Smith, yet they're still "hesitant" to do the same at the sport's most crucial spot.

So, because of that and the other factors he brought up, Washington should be the goal for the 27-year-old.

"If Dak Prescott wants out, and he wants to be in a situation where it's about appreciation and building around him, think about Ron Rivera, the head coach, and what he's doing, along with the other pieces I mentioned. It wouldn't be a bad place for him, I can tell you that.”

Can’t wait for this to eventually be crowned the most-read story in the history of the web.
