Steph joins MJ in exclusive company after 25 games of season originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Steph Curry isn't just imitating Michael Jordan with his no-look layup, he's even putting up MJ-esque numbers for the Warriors this season.

After dropping 32 points in the Warriors' 114-91 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night, Curry now has scored 741 total points this season. According to ESPN Stats & Info, Michael Jordan is the only player in NBA history to score more points through his team's first 25 games at age 32 or older.

Curry now is averaging 29.6 points per game. That's the second-highest of his 12-year career, behind just 2015-16 when he averaged 30.1 on his way to winning his second straight NBA MVP.

Entering Wednesday, Curry leads the NBA in total points, field goals made and made 3-pointers. He now is second to just Bradley Beal in points per game. Beal is averaging 33.2, but has played five fewer games than Curry.

With the Warriors just 13-12, good for eighth in the Western Conference, many don't have Curry in this season's MVP conversation. However, Steve Kerr and Draymond Green believe Curry is playing the best basketball of his career right now.

It's clear the Warriors will need that to continue if they plan on competing in the West. Whether he wins another MVP or not this season, Curry's high-level of play this deep into his career is just another reminder to appreciate his greatness before it begins to fade away.
