This 3-point playoff stat shows how clutch Steph is originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
As the world marvels at the likes of Jamal Murray, Donovan Mitchell, Damian Lillard and many others during the NBA playoffs in the Orlando bubble, Steph Curry is enjoying a little rest a relaxation. He also once again is being forgotten as an all-time great in the playoffs.
When it comes to 3-point shooting, there's Curry and then there's everyone else. The same goes for the playoffs, despite the narrative one might see on Twitter or the playoffs. Just check this out.
As Darryl Blackport pointed out Wednesday on Twitter, there's nobody even close to Curry's level on 3-point shots off three dribbles or more in the fourth quarter or overtime in playoff games.
Curry has taken 106 such attempts. Houston Rockets star James Harden is right behind with 99, but their accuracy is far different for the two. Curry has shot over 48 percent on those shots. Harden barely has made 25 percent of his attempts. Murray has made 61.5 percent, but only has 26 attempts and a large chunk of those likely have come from games without fans in the bubble.
One former Warrior is on the list, too. Kevin Durant is shooting 40 percent on such shots. It's unknown how many have come from his time with Golden State compared to his days with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Curry has made 470 career 3-pointers over 112 playoffs games. He's shooting 40.1 percent from deep in the postseason on 1,171 attempts. That's down from his career 3-point percentage of 43.5 percent on 3s in the regular season, but still incredibly accurate for his high number of attempts.
Players like Murray, Mitchell and Lillard deserve the praise they've received for their playoff performances. Just never forget who paved the way.
