On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers saw the return of injured wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Smith-Schuster has been on the Reserve/Injured list since injuring his shoulder in October. The potential of his return for this Sunday’s playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs is exciting and something quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is on board for, even if it’s in a limited role.

Roethlisberger said Smith-Schuster looked awesome on Thursday and said that even if it is only for a few plays, Smith-Schuster could provide a boost to the offense with his physicality.

Since Smith-Schuster’s injury, Ray-Ray McCloud has taken up the mantle of slot receiver and done an admirable job. Getting Smith-Schuster back not only gives the Steelers back a guy who caught 97 passes in 2020 and 111 more in 2018.
