Steelers heavily favored by experts for SNF game against Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are missing Russell Wilson and a couple of other key pieces heading into this weekend’s prime time game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. As you might expect, there’s not a lot of faith in Seattle out there. According to pickwatch, 84% of the experts are picking Pittsburgh this week.

If you’re looking for a silver lining, there’s not much to go on. One possibility is the fact that home field advantage doesn’t mean much in the NFL, anymore. Through 80 games so far this season road teams have actually won more often than home teams. They’re also 45-35 against the spread.

Winning on the road against the Steelers still sounds like a tall order for this team, which has a historically bad defense and a backup QB starting. Strangers things have happened, though. If Seattle can win the turnover battle it should at least give them a chance at an upset.
