Pittsburgh Steelers guard Trai Turner and Las Vegas Raiders defensive lineman Solomon Thomas got into a bit of a donnybrook after Steelers running back Najee Harris scored his first NFL touchdown. Both players received penalties for their part but for some reason the officials opted to eject Turner for his part.

In watching the replay, it really looked like Turner spat at Thomas during the argument. I’m not being definitive with this assessment but this is my view of why things went worse for Turner. If Turner did spit at Thomas, there’s no doubt he deserved an ejection. Turner continued to lobby his case on the sidelines to no avail.

Turner will be replaced in the starting lineup by B.J. Finney.
