Steelers 2024 free agency: CB Patrick Peterson released

The Pittsburgh Steelers are gearing up for free agency by getting their internal house in order, and the process continued today with the release of cornerback Patrick Peterson.

In his only season in the black and gold, Peterson logged two interceptions, 11 defended passes and 42 tackles.

According to Over the Cap, the move saves Pittsburgh $6.85 million with $2.925M in dead money.

The move certainly puts the Steelers in the market for a cornerback via the NFL draft, free agency or both, especially with Levi Wallace also expected to test the free agent market.
