What are the statistical chances Alabama is upset by Arkansas?

In the latest College Football Playoff rankings, Alabama was listed as the nation’s second-best team, falling just behind fellow SEC member, Georgia. With two weeks left in the regular season, the Crimson Tide still need to lock up a spot in the SEC Championship to face the Bulldogs, a game that will likely decide whether Saban and the program will have the opportunity to play for national championship No. 19.

This week, Alabama takes on the Arkansas Razorbacks.

ESPN’s FPI (Football Power Index), which ranks teams based on mathematical strength, puts a statistical chance for each team to win the game.

Arkansas, ranked No. 21, is barely given a chance, according to the numbers.

Alabama has a 92.6% chance to win the game, leaving the Razorbacks with a measly 7.4% chance to upset the Crimson Tide.

One week following this game will be the Iron Bowl, which should make for an interesting matchup, as Auburn quarterback Bo Nix is out with injury and first-year head coach Bryan Harsin will look to prove he is capable of putting up a four-quarter fight against Nick Saban.
