The Oregon Ducks are in the hunt to get one of their top remaining targets in the 2023 class. On Tuesday Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra cornerback Rodrick Pleasant placed the USC Trojans in his final list of top five schools.

The other schools to make the cut included Cal, Oregon, UCLA and Boston College. They are also in the hunt for the Max Preps First Team All-American.

Pleasant is a 5-foot-11, 180-pound cornerback who ranks as the No. 9 cornerback in the 2023 class, the No. 7 player in the state of California, and No. 86 nationally regardless of position.

He is one of the fastest players in the 2023 class, clocking a state-record 10.14-second time in the 100-meter dash to tie the world’s second-fastest wind-legal time by a 17-year-old.

Pleasant went on to win state titles in the 100 and 200 at the CIF State Track and Field Championships. He commitment date is et for February 1.
