In-state 2024 safety has Ohio State in his top five schools
When Dayton safety Reggie Powers was offered a scholarship by Ohio State at the end of March, many thought it was a done deal for him to be a Buckeye.
It still looks that way, but Powers will now continue to process and take official visits. He also announced his final five schools on Thursday afternoon, and obviously, Ohio State made the cut.
Powers has great size for the position, standing 6-foot, 1-inch, and weighing 195 pounds. Although his recruiting ranking is a bit on the lower end as the No. 55 safety and 578th overall according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he is an in-state priority target for the Buckeyes.
Thank you to all the schools that have given me the opportunity to play Division 1 football. After much consideration here are my Top 5 schools. @Hayesfawcett3 https://t.co/9trG3nuhuP

Currently, Ohio State does not have any safeties committed in the 2024 recruiting class but that is likely to change in the coming months.
