Start of Wizards-Raptors Game 1 delayed due to leaky roof

The Wizards and Raptors had to wait a few minutes later than expected to start Game 1 due to the weather.

The Wizards and Raptors had to wait a few minutes later than expected to tip off for Game 1 of their first round playoff series due to a leaky roof at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Rain delays are more common in baseball, but every once in a while it happens in the NBA. There was freezing rain in Toronto all day on Saturday.

The Wizards had a rain delay of their own when hosting the Houston Rockets at the then-Verizon Center back in 2014. It is always surprising, but it does happen in the NBA. Luckily this delay didn't last long.
