Dallas Stars forward Alexander Radulov will miss at least the next three games because of a lower-body injury, according to a report from the Dallas Morning News. Radulov, 32, returned to Dallas to receive more treatment on the injury. He has 11 points (five goals, six assists) in seven games this season but has played only once since Oct. 16. "We're not sure if it's muscular or if it's actually more just proper body alignment with joints," Stars coach Jim Montgomery said. The injury will keep Radulov out for Saturday's game at the Washington Capitals, Monday's game at the Boston Bruins and Tuesday's game at the Columbus Blue Jackets. If he is cleared, he could return when the Stars host the San Jose Sharks on Thursday. Dallas also promoted defenseman Dillon Heatherington, who is expected to make his NHL debut at the Capitals. The Stars are thin on the blue line with Stephen Johns (post-traumatic headaches) and Connor Carrick (foot) on injured reserve and Marc Methot dealing with an unspecified lower-body injury. "He clearly was the guy to get called up," Montgomery said. "He's done a good job down there in a leadership role and also being a shutdown guy." --Field Level Media
