November 11 is Veteran's Day and major retailers and food chains are offering discounts or free products in honor of those who've served.
There seems to be nothing more American than a classic cup of strong coffee and this year, Starbucks is not only bringing the freebies and feel-good energy to the veterans, but to everyone.
For starters, the chain is doling out free cups of tall coffee to all veterans, active service members and spouses of military members.
But you haven't served, are currently serving or are married to someone who is, Starbucks is still making a donation to military members on your behalf.

One quarter (25 cents) from every coffee sold at Starbucks on November 11 will be donated to one of two charities that Starbucks has historically worked with and supported -- Team Red, White and Blue and Team Rubicon.
Both non-profits.aim to aid in supporting mental health and wellness amongst military veterans.
But the chain's efforts towards helping those who have served don't simply stop at freebies and donations.
The chain previously vowed to hire 10,000 veterans and military spouses in its stores by 2018 -- by November 2019, the company had far exceeded that goal and announced that nearly 25,000 veterans and military spouses and been hired.
The chain plans to hire, at minimum, 5,000 more each year moving forward.
“Veterans and military spouses bring unique experiences and culture – they have an incredible sense of dedication, leadership and service,”said Matt Kress, senior manager of Veteran and Military Affairs at Starbucks.
“One of the reasons they identify with Starbucks is our strong commitment to social impact and making world a better place. It’s a way to continue serving others.”
