Stanford's NiJaree Canady has been named the Pac-12 Softball Pitcher and Freshman of the Week, presented by Rawlings, for May 1. Canady pitched in all four games for Stanford this weekend, starting two of them and throwing 14.0 innings. She only allowed one run and 8 hits over the weekend for an ERA of 0.50. She Recorded 29 strikeouts and only two walks on the weekend for Stanford's first-ever series win at Arizona State.
