St. Patrick's Day 2022: List of parades taking place in the Hudson Valley

Update: The White Plains St. Patrick's Day Parade, originally scheduled for March 12, was rescheduled to March 26.

Following a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, area St. Patrick's Day parades will once again march in local communities.

Manhattan: March 17: The annual parade is back, beginning at 11 a.m. The marchers go up Fifth Avenue beginning at East 44th Street and ending at East 79th Street. For more information on the line of march and participants, go to nycstpatricksparade.org.

Warwick: March 17, 3:30 p.m. The Warwick parade will begin on Grand Street, march down Maple Avenue south on Main Street, turn to Railroad Avenue and end on Railroad Green. This year's Grand Marshal is Tom McGovern, Warwick Police Department's chief, who will be retiring later this month. Yonkers: March 19, 1 p.m. The 65th annual parade will march on McLean Avenue. This year's grand marshal will be Patricia McCrudden. Visit facebook.com/Yonkers-St-Patricks-Day-Parade-on-McLean-Avenue for more information.

Mamaroneck: March 20, 1:30 p.m. The 10th annual Sound Shore parade will march on Mamaroneck Avenue. Kate Bialo and Joe Durney will serve as co-Grand Marshals. Go to soundshoreparade.com for more information.

Pearl River: March 20, 1:30 p.m. The 58th annual Rockland County St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off from the Pfizer parking lot, heads east on East Crooked Hill Road, turns south on North Middletown Road, turns south again onto South Main Street and concludes near the Pearl River Post Office. The parade will march rain or shine. This year's Grand Marshal is Frank McDonagh. For more information, go to rocklandcountyaoh.com.

White Plains: March 26, noon. The parade will begin on Mamaroneck Avenue, continue Main Street and march past Town Hall. The parade's Grand Marshal will be James Houlihan. Check out whiteplainssaintpatricksday.com for more information.

More St. Patrick's Day events

Mamakating: On Saturday, March 19, the VFW Post 4947 will host a St. Patrick's Dinner at Mamakating Town Park. From 1 to 7 p.m. there will be Irish music, food including corned beef, cabbage, shepherd's pie, potatoes, carrots, homemade Irish soda bread, salad and an assortment of beer, wine, soda, desserts and coffee. Tickets are $25 per person in advance or $30 per person at the door. The event is for those age 21 and older. Tickets may be purchased at the VFW Post 4947 from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For more information, call John Kenny (718) 490-4345.
