Spring sports are back in Haywood County

Feb. 14—Spring sports are officially back in season.

As we continue to roll through the end of the winter sports, today is the first official today of practice for the spring season in North Carolina.

Baseball, softball, girls soccer, boys tennis and golf and the outdoor season for track and field all get underway today.

In about a week and a half, on Feb. 26, those spring sports will begin competition.

Pisgah baseball and girls soccer will officially get the spring season started in Haywood County with games on the road against Owen and Enka respectively on that Monday.

The first home games of the 2024 spring season will come the following day as Pisgah baseball will host Enka and Pisgah soccer will host Brevard.

Tuscola will make their first home appearance the following week, as the Lady Mounties softball team will host Enka on March 5.

You can also get a sneak peek of the Pisgah softball team on Feb. 21, when it hosts Robbinsville in a scrimmage.
