Just a few weeks away from her 100th birthday, legendary actress Betty White died Friday at the age of 99, her agent confirmed to People on Friday.
A cultural icon, White's career spanned nine decades and she was best known for her roles in "Golden Girls" (1985-1992) and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" (1973-1977).
White would have turned 100 on Jan. 17 and has received an outpouring of love from all over the world since the news of her passing broke Friday.
