Nov. 6—Cougars go to 2-0

ELNORA — The North Daviess Cougars moved to 2-0 with a 57-24 win at the Cougar Den on Saturday against Bloomington Lighthouse. Delaney Zorman had 17 and Brynlee Perkins followed with 11.

Also scoring for the Cougars was Macy Alderson and Lanie Cornelius with nine each, Kasey Freed had four, Meah Dalrymple had three, while Ava Knepp and Allison Knepp had two each.

Perkins and Alderson had three treys each in the game. ND travels to Wood Memorial on Friday.

NDJH takes 2

ELNORA — North Daviess Junior High girls started their season off with two victories against a very physical Princeton team at the Cougar Den!

The seventh grade (1-0) took home a 25-11 victory. They had a big second quarter to lead by nine at the half and never let up defensively and kept extending their lead. They were very balanced and were led by Leah Knepp with five points to go along with numerous steals! Bristol Lengacher, Karli Clidienst and Ella Knepp added four points each. Aubrey Ferguson and Kealey Graber had three points each and Natalie Wagler rounded out the Lady Cougars with two points.

The eighth Grade (1-0) also took home a 29-16 victory. They took a 12-5 lead into halftime and then had a good fourth quarter to close out the Lady Tigers. They too had balanced scoring with Maleah Lengacher leading the way with 10 points followed by Shaylee Graber with seven. Kenley Wagler was close behind with six points, Lola Graber with four points and Natalie Wagler rounded out the Lady Cougars with two points.
