Feb. 29—NDJH Lady Chargers

The North Decatur seventh grade Lady Chargers lost their first round MHC tourney game to Edinburgh 23-20 Monday.

The Lady Chargers overcame a 9-point first half deficit and took the lead with a little more than two minutes remaining in the game before Edinburgh hit a game clinching 3-pointer with a little more than one minute remaining in regulation.

Scoring for the Lady Chargers included Macie Leake six, Chloe Kramer four, Zoey Bingham four, Lanee Rennekamp four and Isla Hess two.

North's eighth grade defeated Edinburgh 39-25 in the MHC tourney. Leading the way for the Lady Chargers was Brynlee Green with 15 points, followed by Sophie Rohls with 11 points, Navaeh Schwartz with five points, Norah Amberger with four points, Brooklyn White with three points and Kaylee Weaver with one point. ND advances to MHC tournament this Saturday.

The eighth grade Lady Chargers traveled to South Decatur and came up short 29-24.

Leading the way for the Lady Chargers was Brooklyn White with nine points, followed by Brynlee Green with six points, Sophie Rohls with five points and Jessie Biltz with four points..

GJHS Lady Pirates

The seventh grade Lady Pirates moved to 13-1 after a dominant 46-13 victory over South Dearborn. Scoring for the Lady Pirates included Sophie Buening 21, Lulu Webb 13, Mila Dehoff seven, Alivia Bishop three and Makayla Kieffer two.

The eighth grade Lady Pirates won their last game of the season at South Dearborn 35-11.

For the Lady Pirates Aubrie Barns-Pettit finished with 12 points and 15 rebounds followed by Webb nine points, Buening five points, Carly Greiwe four points, Alexis Weber three points and Brinnlly Middendorf two points. The young Lady Pirates finished the season with a 10-5 record.

In earlier action, the seventh grade Lady Pirates traveled to Batesville Thursday and came away victorious 42-31. After trailing by three points at half-time, the Lady Pirates had a huge third quarter with Sophie Buening scoring 14 points. Final scoring totals for the game were Buening 24, Lulu Webb 14 and Alivia Bishop four.

Greensburg's eighth grade lost to Batesvile 31-19. Scoring for the Lady Pirates were Aubrie Barns-Pettit seven, Lulu Webb seven, Kahlen Adams three and Carly Greiwe two.
