Competitors from Creston, East Union, Mount Ayr, Lenox, Murray, Nodaway Valley and Southwest Valley all competed in the event. Each class names a male and female outstanding athlete of the meet.

Southwest Iowa claimed both titles in Class 1A with Mount Ayr's Ryce Reynolds and Murray's Leksi Gannon. Reynolds set three meet records as well as automatically qualifying for the Drake Relays in the 400m through the Blue Standard.
