PENN RECAP: Southern Miss baseball beats Penn to win NCAA Tournament's Auburn Regional

Southern Miss (45-18) came through the losers bracket to win the Auburn Regional, surviving four consecutive do-or-die games and claiming a second consecutive regional championship with an 11-7 victory over Penn on Monday at Plainsman Park. It's the second straight season that USM will host a super regional after the Golden Eagles were swept by Ole Miss last year.

Tennessee (41-19) made its path much easier in the Clemson Regional. The Volunteers trounced Charlotte in the regional final to go 3-0 through the bracket. Despite that impressive performance, it's worth noting that the Vols have struggled on their road this season, where they are 5-12.
