Rose, a 13-year NBA veteran and two-time champion with the San Antonio Spurs, has served as the Hawks’ basketball operations manager since 2015.

Rose, 43, was named the G League’s Executive of the Year for the Erie BayHawks, Atlanta’s affiliate that went 28-22 for the 2017-18 season.

The Pistons have revamped their front office and coaching staff, parting with coach Stan Van Gundy and general manager Jeff Bower and bringing in former Memphis Grizzlies executive Ed Stefanski and ex-Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey.
