Taylor, 23, was waived by the Houston Rockets on Friday and will be expected to provide backup minutes for Hawks starting point guard Dennis Schroder.

Taylor went undrafted out of the University of Texas in 2016 and played four games with the Rockets last season among numerous stints with the franchise’s developmental league team.
