Last season’s NBA Rookie of the Year hasn’t played since he left the first quarter of Saturday’s victory over the Orlando Magic with tightness in his lower back.

The Sixers held the 6-foot-10 star out of practice Monday and he missed the team’s 133-132 overtime loss in Detroit on Tuesday.

Philadelphia did not have a morning shootaround Wednesday because it played the night before.

In three contests this season, Simmons is averaging 12 points, 9.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists.
